Fellow means you have been voted into the Institute at the highest possible level.
Lapsed means I can't put the letters after my name, for either prestigious organisation, because I no longer pay them!
But I was paying in the years mentioned, and you don't lose 25 years of experience at the top of your profession just because you have other things to spend your money on...
so what the hell!
